Well they did a demolition on a property in Lansing...400 S Hayford. Two days later I was riding my bike in the bike path off of Kalamazoo street and ran over a nail. Called up the owner, who was not at all helpful and told me the sidewalk should of been closed anyways. First off I was not on the sidewalk, I was in the road on the bike path. He then told me he would personally go check out the sidewalk and the road later that night and would give me a call in the morning. I called him around 12pm and he informed me he sent a supervisor over and everything was fine in the road and on the sidewalk. I live super close to this demolition so I walked back there after I brought my bike home and talked with him to use my phone to record all of the hazards on the sidewalk and in the street. Told me because it had been a few days he would not pay for the repairs for my bike, which costs nearly $500 dollars and I use daily for school. I even was nice enough to give him a quote from the shop in town for repairs which was $30-$40 altogether with labor. I guess I will have to bring him to small claims court with my evidence and the time stamp from the videos fromm September 21st since he is so unwilling to take responsibility.
